The children's village at the African Arts Festival held annually at Forest Park features works of many artists including quilted works. This event is a humbling, exciting and fun experience.

A small quilt I named "Broken Chains" was donated in 2004 to the National Museum of Records and Documents in Saint-Louis, Senegal, West Africa. Senegal is the sister city of St. Louis. A small patch work quilt went to a local hospital here in St. Louis, USA. .
Classes!
My beginners classes are fun. I provide materials for up to twenty participants. A ten inch four patch block with printed directional quilting instructions, or a ten inch pre-stamped quilt block to introduce whole cloth quilting. Hoops are loaned until the end of the session.
After finishing a quilt my daughter named "The Reason" I discovered that there is something profoundly wonderful about folded cloth, and later
I found out why.Quilting! It's an old art craft and hand quilting may be called a primitive art but it is still my passion.
